HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of an of “an undisclosed amount of cash and clothing” and and assault in the 6600 block of Basswood Road that occurred Monday, Oct. 5, shortly after 11:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“It was further reported one subject punched another during the argument over the property,” Cole said. No injuries were reported.

Monday, Oct. 5, 2020:

– 4:30 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.

– 3:07 p.m., (MCSO), a 59-year-old Kentwood, Michigan man was arrested for a felony of third-offense operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, US 31 and Fountain Road, Victory Township.

– 7:40 p.m., (MCSO), a 32 year-old Fountain man was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 6700 block of East Stolberg Road, Sheridan Township.

Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020:

– 7:50 a.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, Custer Road near Chauvez Road, Custer Township.

– 3:10 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a ​20-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without driver’s license, Washington Avenue and Dowland Street, City of Ludington.
