AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 30-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on charges of methamphetamine possession and carrying a concealed weapon — a .40-caliber semiautomatic pistol — following a traffic stop at US 10 and Dennis Road Friday, Sept. 25, shortly after midnight, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

The following is police activity in Mason County Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020:

– 4:57 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Quarterline Road, Amber Township.

– 3:44 p.m., (Michigan State Police), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Meyers Road, Amber Township.

​- 7:24 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a​ 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a 79th District Court warrant for failure to appear, Rath Avenue and Court Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

– 10:36 p.m., ​(LPD), Ludington police are seeking domestic violence charges against a 31-year-old Prudenville, Michigan man following an incident in the 700 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. The man left the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
