Thief/thieves steal 30 bags of returnables.

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — Approximately 30 bags of returnable cans were stolen from the Pioneer Party Store in the 6100 block of East US 10 Sunday, Sept. 20, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The theft was reported around 5 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 18, 2020:

– 11:54 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 and Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.

– 2:14 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Campbell Road north of Federal Forest Road #8381, Meade Township.

– 5 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Conrad Road, Pere Marquette Township.

– 6 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 37-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested in Newaygo County on an LPD failure to appear warrant. The man was transported to the Mason County Jail and lodged.

– 9:30 p.m,. (LPD), a 24-year-old Freeland, Michigan man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), ​Ludington Avenue and Jackson​​ Road, City of Ludington.

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020:

– 1:48 a.m., (LPD), ​Epworth Assembly, ​Ludington police assisted with a structure fire in Epworth. Since the fire was near the shoreline of Lake Michigan, Harbor 1 was used to fight the fire from the beach. Related story here

– 2:59 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Townline Road, Victory Township.

Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020:

– 12:42 a.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, US 31 near Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township.

– 6 p.m., (LPD), a 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested for public intoxication, 900 block of North Washington Ave​nue, City of Ludington. The man also had an active arrest warrant in Muskegon County’s district court.
