Felony child abuse charges among recent arraignments

The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79^th District Court:

Felonies

Semelbauer

-John Joel Semelbauer, 40, of 937 E. Forest Ave., Muskegon, was arrested Aug. 28 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of third degree child abuse and third offense domestic violence. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Brown

-Gary L. Brown, 35, of 8450 Pine Falls Dr., Houston, Texas, was arrested Sept. 2 by Michigan State Police (MSP) on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 16 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $25,000 cash.

Panland

-Donald Eugene Panland, 34, of 1218 N. Wisner Ave., White Cloud, was arrested Aug. 28 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy), second offense driving while license suspended, and operating with a forged/altered driver’s license. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 9 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.

Herring

–Carl Lee Herring, 30, of 5157 W. 52^nd St., Baldwin, was arrested July 4 by the MCSO on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Buck

-Dylan Michael Buck, 17, of 3975 N. Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, was arrested Sept. 3 by MCSO on a felony charge of unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.

Misdemeanors

–Bobby Gene Shirey, 37, of 615 W. Townline Rd., Victory Township; Aug. 31; Michigan State Police (MSP); domestic violence. Pretrial: Sept. 28 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Anthony Jordan Genta, 35, of 1525 W. Dewey Rd., Victory Township; Aug. 28; MCSO; domestic violence. Pretrial: Sept. 9 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.

-Brandon Michael Wright, 35, of 206 N. Harrison St., Apt. 4, Ludington; Aug. 13; MCSO; third degree retail fraud. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.
