79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted Sept. 4, 2020.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Genesis Marie Wrege, 31, of 2138 S. Scottville Rd., Custer Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Luis Miguel Flores-Rodriguez, 40, of 304 E. State St., Scottville, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must attend SBIRT prevention program; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Cody Alan Soberalski, 21, of 48 Anderson St., Sparta, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to OWIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must provide proof of substance abuse evaluation to the court; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a blood alcohol level over .17 was dismissed.

-Kevin Michael Smith, 56, of 5486 King Dr., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to OWIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend AA two times per week for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must continue current counseling program; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Timothy Munoz Ratliff, 27, of 1619 W. First St., Amber Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must obtain substance abuse counseling; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Genevieve Margaret Mary Davis, 51, of 210 E. Filer St., Apt. 1, Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to operating a vehicle while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; no controlled substance without a prescription; subject to random drug tests; must continue current outpatient treatment; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Audra Marie Jacobs, 48, of 906 E. Ludington Ave., pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines/costs. 

-Jason Michael Ogan, 45, of 107 N. Water St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines/costs. Charges of third offense domestic violence and malicious destruction of personal property were dismissed. 

-Sara Rose Aguilar, 31, of 3846 Maple Dr., Welston, pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to pay $285 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Terryn DeWayne Borgh, III, 23, of 157 S. Wildwood, Apt. 15, Amber Township, pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to driving while license not valid and was sentenced to pay $225 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Melinda Irene Harthun, 27, of 975 Ivy Brooke Dr., Douglasville, GA, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; must be fingerprinted; $2,250 in restitution; and $285 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Zachary Alan Shurlow, 27, of 618 ½ E. Melendy St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Sept. 3 to driving while never licensed and driving while license not valid and was sentenced to pay $500 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

-Johnny Raphael Roman, 29, of 136 Menes St., Walkerville, had a charge of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on Aug. 31 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction.

-Aaron Joseph Parmalee, 22, of 1564 E. US 10, Custer Township, had a charge of failure to maintain security dismissed on Aug. 28. According to court records, “The defendant has disposed of the vehicle.”
