GRANT TOWNSHIP — A $50 counterfeit bill was passed at the Upper Hamlin Grocery store located on West Nurnberg Road Monday, Aug. 31, around 3 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The case remains under investigation.

The following is other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Aug. 31, 2020:

– 7:08 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Gordon Road south of Hansen Road, Amber Township.

– 8:33 a.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Conrad Road east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.

– 8:52 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Jagger Road, Hamlin Township.

– 10:23 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Decker Road west of Larson Road, Branch Township.
