Muskegon man arrested for felony domestic violence, child abuse.

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — A 40-year-old Muskegon man was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers from the Hart post Friday, Aug. 28, at 9 p.m. on charges of third-offense domestic violence and child abuse in the 4000 block of West Deren Road, according to Michigan State Police Trooper Todd Goodrich of the Hart post.
The following is other police activity over the weekend in Mason County
Friday, Aug. 28, 2020:
– 1:43 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 34-year-old White Cloud man was arrested for drug possession and driving while license suspended (DWLS), Lakeshore Drive and Bryant Road, City of Ludington.
– 2:10 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Hansen Road, Custer Township.
– 7:08 a.m., (LPD), EMS assist, 200 block of North Staffon Street, City of Ludington.
– 8 a.m., (LPD), officers assisted probation and parole officers with the arrest of a 48-year old Ludington man for probation violation, 300 block of North Delia Street, City of Ludington.
– 9 a.m., (LPD), suspicious situation, 300 block of North Gaylord Avenue, City of Ludington. The case is closed.
– 9:41 a.m., (LPD), fight between residents, 1000 block of East Tinkham Avenue, City of Ludington. Case is closed.
– 5:10 p.m., (MCSO), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession and a warrant for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting a disturbance, 1500 block of West Dewey Road, Victory Township.
– 8:36 p.m., (LPD), EMS assist, 600 block of East Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.
– 9:52 p.m,. (MSP), car/deer crash, Chauvez Road near South Brye Road, Riverton Township.
10:18 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway, Summit Township.
Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020:
– 4:41 a.m., (LPD), assist Ludington Fire Department, Court Street and Gaylord Avenue, City of Ludington.
– 8:13 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Washington Avenue and Darr Road, Eden Township. Deputies responded and found no one around the vehicle, which had crashed into a ditch. The case remains under investigation and charges related to no license/never applied and leaving the scene of a crash are being requested against a 42-year-old Oceana County man.
– 11:21 a.m., (MCSO), damaged property, 6300 block of East US 10, Branch Township. The complainant reported windows broken at a garage.
– 12:06 p.m., (LPD), dog bite investigation, 700 block of Third Street, City of Ludington. The case is open.
– 12:19 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Sheridan Township.
– 5:31 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive south of Golfwood Drive, Hamlin Township.
– 7:38 p.m., (LPD), assault investigation, 200 block of East Third Street, City of Ludington. The case is closed — the victim does not wish to press charges.
– 8:41 p.m., (LPD), motorist assisst, 300 block of North Lakeshore Drive, City of Ludington.
– 10:11 p.m., (LPD), citizen assist, 300 block of North Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.
– 10:38 p.m., (LPD), a 50-year-old Brighton man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Loomis and Robert streets, City of Ludington.
– 11:44 pm., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020:
– 2:16 a.m., (MCSO), a 27-year-old Ludington man was cited following a traffic stop for no license/never applied, Pere Marquette Highway south of US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
– 1 p.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Ludington rest area, US 31, Summit Township.
– 3 p.m., (LPD), found property, 100 block of East Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. The case is closed.
– 6 p.m., (LPD), suspicious situation, 700 block of Brother Street, City of Ludington. Case is closed.
– 7:11 p.m., (LPD), noise complaint, 900 block of South Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.
– 7:16 p.m., (LPD), stray dog, 1200 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington. Case is closed.
– 9:37 p.m., (LPD), found bike, 600 block of North Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.
Monday, Aug. 31, 2020:
– 1:46 a.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old Shelby man was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs and for a violation of a restricted driver’s license, Washington Avenue and Fifth Street, City of Ludington.
