US 31 to reopen next week.

The $2.4 million resurfacing and drainage improvement project on US 31 between US 10 and Sugar Grove Road is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The 3.74 miles of highway has been under construction since June and has been completely closed since July 7.

The project was completed in three phases. The first phase included closure of one lane of US 31. The second phase included the closure of the Scottville bypass with traffic re-routed on Main Street in Scottville. The third phase, which began on July 7, was complete closure with traffic re-routed on Sugar Grove and Stiles roads.
