Two men arrested in Wellston meth bust.

NORMAN TOWNSHIP — Michael Lott, 30, of Wellston and William Agster, 43, of Irons face felony charges of methamphetamine delivery after an undercover police officer recently purchased meth from them, according to Manistee County Sheriff Kenneth Falk.

“On July 15, the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office assisted SSCENT (State Sheriff City Enforcement Narcotics Team) with a controlled purchase of illegal drugs,” states Falk in press release issued Wednesday, July 22. “An undercover police officer purchased suspected

methamphetamine from two male subjects in Wellston. The officer purchased 3.7 grams of methamphetamine. After the purchase, uniformed deputies pulled the suspect vehicle over and found that there were three occupants in the vehicle — two male subjects and one female. All occupants were ordered out of the vehicle and searched.”

Lott and Agster were lodged in the Manistee County Jail, but have since posted bond and have been released, Falk said. They were arraigned in Manistee County’s 85th District Court on charges of meth delivery.
