Upon arriving on the scene deputies and troopers located a 76 year-old man who had sustained a laceration to his head, Cole said. “ He reported to deputies he had been assaulted by two persons who had entered his home.  He reported one of those persons struck him in the head with a small Coleman propane gas canister.”  Cole said the victim further reported that the suspects had sprayed him with pepper spray.

The incident allegedly centered around the victim’s grandson, who had been accused of swerving an ATV towards a family member of the suspects.  The suspects, reportedly after learning of the ATV incident, went to the victim’s home and confronted him inside his house.  It was there the alleged assault took place.

James J. Henry, 74, of 2306 Riverwood Dr., Twin Lake and Suzanna Lynn Henry, 45, of 7955 W. Hays Road, Shelby, were each arraigned in 79th District Court on felony charges of second degree home invasion and assault and battery.

They are both scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause hearing on July 22. Bail was set at $7,500, 10% and they both bonded out of jail.
