PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, following a 911 call reporting an unwanted person who was found in a vehicle in the 5600 block of West Johnson Road.

“When approached, the suspect assaulted the homeowner,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. “The offender was unknown to the complainant. The suspect was arrested a few blocks away.”

Other Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity Tuesday, June 16, 2020 includes:

– 9:09 a.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway near the Pere Marquette Highway off-ramp, Pere Marquette Township.

– 4:40 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, Sixth Street and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
