AMBER TOWNSHIP — Car parts were stolen off vehicles parked in the Northern Classic Auto Sales car lot in the 440 block of US 10, said Michigan State Police Sgt. Dan Thomas of the Hart post.

Five car batteries were stolen, and a grill and headlights were taken from a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, Thomas said.

The thefts were reported Wednesday morning, June 10. “Fifteen other vehicles were gone through and rifled through,” Thomas said. It is unknown at this point if contents were stolen from those vehicles.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office took a similar report, so the lot has been hit twice, he said.

“Evidence technicians are being sent over to process for fingerprints. What is not bolted down or locked they’re trying to take.”
