Sheriff warns of traffic citation scam.

LUDINGTON — Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said a county employee recently received an email stating the person had 72 hours to pay a “fine” for a traffic violation. A “ticket” was attached to the email.

“This is a total scam,” Sheriff Cole said. “If you receive such an email do not click on any links.”
