BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A police report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office related to possible charges of third-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS), no cycle endorsement, and leaving the scene of a traffic crash following a motorcycle crash Thursday, May 21, at 7:39 p.m. that caused a minor injury on Benson Road south of Marshall Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Wednesday, May 20, 2020:

– 8:25 a.m., (Michigan State Police), possession of methamphetamine, under investigation, southbound US 31 near mile marker #162, Summit Township.

Thursday, May 21, 2020:

– 5:50 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Reek Road, Custer Township.

– 10:13 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Benson and Hansen roads, Branch Township. A 20-year-old Lansing man was cited for DWLS following the crash.

– 1:51 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Scottville and Chauvez roads, Custer Township.

– 3:33 p.m., (MCSO), damaged mailbox, 6000 block of East Dewey Road, Sheridan Township.

– 7:09 p.m., (MCSO), domestic violence arrest, 4800 block of North Cleveland Steet, Village of Fountain. A 33-year-old Fountain man was arrested following a 911 call reporting a disturbance.

– 8:48 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Decker Road, Hamlin Township.

– 11:18 p.m., (MCSO), warrant arrest, City of Ludington. A 30-year-old Ludington man was arrested for parole violation after he turned himself in at the Mason County Jail.
