Scottville 10&31 Celebration cancelled.

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville 10&31 Celebration, scheduled for Aug. 1 and 2 has been cancelled due to the current pandemic. The celebration had been moved to the first weekend of August to coincide with the Western Michigan Old Engine Club, which, as of now, is still scheduled (a decision is expected to be made in June). The 10&31 Celebration includes a car show in downtown Scottville, a rubber duck race in the Pere Marquette River at Riverside Park and the crowning of Miss Mason County, among other activities. According to Joe Knowles, chairman of the Downtown Development Authority, one of the main reasons for cancelling the celebration was the inability to acquire a raffle license for the duck race, a major fundraiser for the DDA. He said there is a possibility that some of the celebration’s activities, such as the duck race, may get rescheduled for fall.
