PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two counts of resisting/opposing police after he allegedly opened a shaken pop can in the faces of two Mason County sheriff’s deputies Thursday, April 23, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The deputies responded to the busy intersection of US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway shortly before noon after receiving a report of a person “staggering and falling in the roadway,” Cole said.

“When a Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived in the area and made contact with the man, he pulled a can of pop out of his backpack, shook the can and opened it in the faces of two deputies,” Cole said.
