Credit card fraud complaints top police activity.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office investigated two complaints of credit card fraud involving a total of $840 in fraudulent charges Thursday, April 16.

The first case was reported at 12:37 p.m. in the 3000 block of West Johnson Road in Amber Township. The victim reported reported that over $80 was charged on his credit card, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The second case was reported at 4:43 p.m. in the 6400 block of Virnetta Drive in Pere Marquette Township. Over $760 was charged on the victim’s credit card, Cole said.

Other police activity in Mason County Thursday, April 16, 2020 includes:

– 12:02 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 28-year-old homeless Mason County man was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, Bryant Road west of Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.

– 11:05 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), vehicle crash, East Ludington Avenue and North Lavinia Street, City of Ludington.

– 6:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), slashed tires, 3000 block of Conrad Road, Amber Township.

– 7:15 p.m., (LPD), vehicle crash, 300 block of Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.

– 7:20 p.m., (MSP), citations issued for DWLS and operating without insurance, US 10 near Darr Road, Custer Township. (Suspect info was not immediately available.)

– 11:19 p.m., (MSP), a 27-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence, 5900 block of Shagway Road, Hamlin Township.
