The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Thursday, March 5, 2020:

– 12:53 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), ​a 28-year-old Fountain man was arrested on three outstanding warrants following a traffic stop, 400 block of West State Street, City of Scottville. One warrant was a criminal bench warrant for failure to appear, and two were contempt of court warrants.

– 4:35 p.m., (Michigan State Police), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Chauvez Road near South Brye Road, Riverton Township.

– 6:12 p.m., (MCSO), larceny theft of an iPhone, 500 block of North Scottville Road, Custer Township.

– 8:37 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.

– 10:06 p.m., (MCSO), assault, 3000 block of North Stiles Road, Victory Township. The victim reportedly was punched in the face by a subject known to him. The case remains under investigation.

Friday, March 6, 2020:

– 9:27 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 21-year-old Ludington woman was given an appearance citation for driving with an expired license, North Ferry and West Fitch streets, City of Ludington.

– 7:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Victory Corners Road, Victory Township.

– 4:18 p.m., (MCSO), trespassing, 3500 block of West Hansen Road, Amber Township. The victim reported people trespassing on his land, but they had reportedly left before police’s arrival.

– 10:17 p.m., (MCSO), a 56-year-old Pentwater woman was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) following a traffic stop related to a “suspicious vehicle” call in the area, Anthony and Stiles roads, Riverton Township.

Saturday, March 7, 2020:

– 9:36 a.m., (LPD), a 28-year-old Ludington man was cited for a violation of temporary instruction permit, East Loomis and North Harrison streets, City of Ludington.

– 11:49 a.m., (LPD), a 34-year-old Scottville man was arrested on a warrant from Kent County for failure to comply with sex offender registration, 500 block of South James Street, City of Ludignton.

– 12:38 p.m., (MCSO), a ​44-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for retail fraud following an investigation by the sheriff’s office and Walmart Loss Prevention, Walmart, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 7:40 p.m., (MSP), a 64-year-old Custer woman was arrested for OWI, Schoenherr Road near Johnson Road, Branch Township.

Sunday, March 8, 2020:

– 10:52 a.m., trespassing/larceny of trees, 6800 block of Bockstanz Road, Branch Township. The complainant reported that someone had cut down trees on his property within the past two weeks.
