Man arrested for hitting victim on head with chair.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Friday, Feb. 28, at 11:11 p.m. “following a 911 call reporting an assault which reportedly involved the victim being punched; knocked to the floor; (and) then struck with a chair, causing a laceration to the head, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The assault occurred in the 3900 block of North Forest Lane.

The suspect was arrested on a charge of felonious assault, and the victim was treated at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
