Second annual MCC Hot Cocoa Shuffle scheduled for Friday.

SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central Schools will hold its second annual Hot Cocoa Shuffle on Friday, Feb. 28. The event includes the “shuffle” fun walk/run, free hot cocoa and popcorn, prizes for MCC students and a free movie.

Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the high school lobby. The 1.5 mile shuffle begins at 5:50 p.m. The course will loop around the northwest side of Scottville and on the school campus. Scottville Police Department and Scottville Fire Department will be on duty to block streets.

Hot cocoa and popcorn will be served by MCC Food Service beginning at 6:10 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded at 6:45 p.m. The first three students from each MCC building completing the race will receive prizes. Buildings include Victory Early Childhood Center, Scottville Elementary, Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Prizes will also be given to adult participants under the category of Scottville Area Senior Center/adult winner.

The movie “Abominable” will be shown in the A.O. Carlson complex at 6:55 p.m. Admission is free.

The event is expect to end about 8:30 p.m.
