Area schools placed on lockdown

Area schools have been placed in “soft lockdown” mode due to a potential armed suicidal subject in the area of Angling Road and Victory Drive in Hamlin Township,” according to the Ludington Area School District Facebook page.

MCP has been informed that the suspect has been apprehended.

Soft lockdown is a request to keep staff and students inside the school.
