Local pastor gives Senate invocation.

LANSING — Pastor Todd Bush of Mason County Reformed Church in Amber Township gave the invocation today, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at the start of the proceedings of the Michigan Senate. Bush was the guest of Sen. Curt Vanderwall, R-Ludington. It is tradition for legislators to invite members of clergy from various faiths to give invocations before sessions of the state legislature and the duties.

VanderWall represents the 35th Senate District, which includes the counties of Benzie, Crawford, Kalkaska, Lake, Leelanau, Manistee, Mason, Missaukee, Ogemaw, Osceola, Roscommon and Wexford.
