MCC back to school events scheduled, corrected. SCOTTVILLE — Last week a schedule of back to school events at Mason County Central was posted on MCP. The schedule contained errors provided by the school. The following is the corrected schedule:
- Monday, Aug. 26, high school: seniors schedule pickup, 9 a.m. to noon; freshman schedule pickup, 1 to 3 p.m.
- Monday, Aug. 26, high school: freshmen orientation, 1 to 3 p.m.; freshmen parent meeting, 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 27, high school: sophomores and juniors schedule pickup and school pictures, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 27, upper elementary (grades 3 to 5) back to school night, 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 27, Scottville Elementary (grades 1 to 2) back to school night, 6 p.m. (kindergarten parents refer to letter from child’s teacher).
- Wednesday, Aug. 28, middle school back to school night: sixth grade, 6 to 8 p.m.; seventh and eighth grades open house, 7 p.m.
Mason County Central school offices are open from 8 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for new student enrollment.
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3. This will be a half day for students, with sack lunches being offered. Scottville Elementary will dismiss at 11:20 a.m., and all other grades will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.
