Man arrested for 3rd-offense OWI after going 100 mph.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP – A 47-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies for third-offense operating while intoxicated after allegedly driving 100 mph in a 55-mph zone on Kistler Road east of Pere Marquette Highway Thursday, Aug. 22, shortly after 10 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The man was stopped at Brye and Kistler roads.

In a separate incident, a 78-year-old Fountain woman was arrested for OWI after she ran her vehicle into the ditch​ Thursday shortly after 11 p.m. at Benson and Birch roads in Sheridan Township, Cole said.
