Former Ludington man dies in Muskegon motorcycle crash.

MUSKEGON — David Lee Taylor, 48, of Norton Shores, and formerly of Ludington, died last Sunday, Aug. 11, in a motorcycle crash. The crash occurred about 10:13 p.m. at Shoreline Drive and Western Avenue, according to a news release from Michigan State Police.

Taylor was traveling northeast on Shoreline Drive when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and struck a curb, according to MSP. The motorcycle became airborne and Taylor was thrown. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

Taylor was a sales manager at Classy Chassy of North Muskegon for the past seven years. Prior to that, he worked as an automobile salesman in the Ludington area. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Taylor; his sons, Evan (Erin Lancour), Brendan Preihs, Reece Turnage, Jackson Turnage; parents, David Sr. and Susan Taylor; sister, Becky (David) Conroy; siblings-in-law, Steve (Randa) Preihs, Rachel Preihs, Jason (Ray) Dobb, Jared Dobb; mothers-in-law, JoAnne Preihs, Joanne Dobb; along with nieces and nephews.

His funeral took place today, Aug. 17, in Muskegon.
