Man arrested on warrant for owing over $29,000 in child support.

SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP – A 39-year-old Fountain man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies in the 7000 block of East Sugar Grove Road Wednesday, Aug. 7, shortly before 6 p.m. on an outstanding Newaygo County Friend of the Court warrant for owing back child support totaling $29,554, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The following is other police activity in Mason County Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019:

• 7:07 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Countyline Road west of Quarterline Road, Grant Township.
• 7:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 20-year-old Ludington woman was cited driving without insurance, US 10-31 junction, Amber Township.
• 8:05 p.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Darr Road, Eden Township.
• 8:15 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Hansen Road, Amber Township.
• 9:16 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
