MCC to consider new teachers.

SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Central Board of Education is being asked to hire three new teachers when it meets in its regular monthly meeting tonight. The board will meet in the high school conference room beginning with a biannual organizational meeting at 6:45 p.m. and then the regular meeting at 7 p.m.

Administrators are recommending the following new hires:

• Special education: Julie Knudsen, most recently of the Manistee Intermediate School District.
• Elementary music: April Keith, most recently of Walkerville Public Schools.
• Second grade: Tawnya Miller, most recently of Baldwin Community Schools.
