CUSTER TOWNSHIP – A 30-year-old Vermontville, Michigan man was arrested on felony charges of heroin and methamphetamine possession after Mason County sheriff’s deputies found him unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle, Saturday, June 29, at 5:40 p.m. at US 10 and Bean Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Suspected heroin and meth were found in the vehicle, and he was suspected to be under the influence of heroin, Cole said.

The suspect was also charged with registration fraud, because his vehicle plate had a stolen green 2020 sticker on an expired registration, the sheriff said.
