Man faces jail for receiving, concealing stolen property.

LUDINGTON – A 39-year-old Scottville man faces serving four months up front of a one-year discretionary jail term after pleading guilty in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, June 25, to receiving and concealing $1,000-$20,000.

Shawn Daniel O’Connell, of 104 5th St., originally faced a charge of larceny $1,000-$20,000, along with a habitual offender designation, that were dismissed in a plea agreement.

O’Connell admitted that he received and concealed stolen saws, a generator, an outboard motor, snow boards and other items that were later pawned.

Sentencing is set for Aug. 6 at 1:15 p.m.
