High water levels cause PM River take out restrictions.

The U.S. Forest Service has announced that due to the high water and expected rains there are no safe, legal take outs on public lands from Walhalla Boat Launch to Indian Bridge on the Pere Marquette River.  That stretch of the river will remain closed until waters return to a safe level.

River users may put in at Upper Branch provided that they take out at Walhalla Boat Launch.

The other segments of the Pere Marquette remain open to use, but please exercise caution due to the high water.
