Arch Staffing and Consulting opens Ludington office.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Ludington Arch Staffing and Consulting office held a ribbon cutting today commemorating its grand opening. The office, located at 5578 W. US 10, next to Harbor Freight, officially opened its doors on Monday, June 3.

“To say this new business venture has been a labor of love is an understatement,” said Carla Hanson, president of Arch Staffing and Consulting Northern Michigan. “We embarked on this journey nearly two years ago and to have this day finally here, is very emotional and exciting. It has always been my dream to have a franchise staffing operation.”

Arch Staffing has two flagship offices in Michigan located in Grand Rapids, which opened in 2018, and now Ludington, Hanson said. “We learned a lot of new and innovative recruiting techniques from launching in a metropolitan area first. Essentially, I knew it was important to me to have one of our main hub locations in Ludington, my hometown.

Hanson is a graduate of Mason County Central High School and has spent three decades in the staffing industry.

“We service the entire state of Michigan,” Hanson said. “We sought out the best staffing consultants in the U.S. to help us build our brand and identify the best recruitment platforms along with a state-of-the-art applicant tracking system.  Just in the past couple of weeks, we have had candidates fly in from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida for potential job opportunities. It has been exciting to showcase west Michigan and find talent throughout the country for different companies.  We know that it is a job seekers market, so it is important to us to offer non-traditional benefits to our contract workforce.”

Arch offers a full holiday, vacation and health insurance package to all its employees. “Although, we are a full-service staffing solution, our niche/specialty is professional, skilled trades, administrative and payroll services.”

Hanson added that Arch has an engineering recruitment team in place along with expert recruiters in various industry verticals. “I am pleased that we can offer a customized staffing solution for companies in Michigan and tailor our recruitment efforts and services to every company.  As we all know, each company’ demands and needs are different and it’s critical in today’s landscape that we are flexible and adaptable.

“We are excited about providing gainful employment to people in the area while giving back to the community. We are just really excited to be here and are looking forward to embracing the community. I would describe Arch as the Google of staffing, meaning that we are innovative, cutting edge and fun.   I am hoping everyone that visits our office leaves with that vibe and feeling.”

Hanson gave credit to her Ludington staff, which includes former Scottville city manager Amy Williams, sales executive, and Samantha Sarnowski, northern Michigan recruiter. She also thanked corporate executives from Arch and members of its Grand Rapids team. She also credited the work ethic instilled by her father, the late Dan Petersen. “My father was a business owner and entrepreneur for many years in the community, and has been my inspiration and driving force behind starting my own business.  He taught me the importance of work ethic and dedication at a very early age. I know he is right here, by my side each and every day. I have always appreciated the love and support from my parents and grateful for all they have done for me.”
