Obituary: Laude Hartrum, Jr., 88, Pentwater.

Laude Elmer Hartrum Jr., age 88, of Pentwater formerly of Hebron, Ill., passed away March 16, 2019 at Oakview Medical Care Facility. He was born July 15, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Laude E. and Ruth G. (Hall) Hartrum Sr.

Laude graduated from Taft High School in 1946. He went on to attend Augustana College. He served his country in the Illinois National Guard. Laude married the late Jenny Ronneberg on September 8, 1959

Laude worked as a plant engineer for Metal Works, retiring in 2001 after over 20 years of service.  He was an active member of the Pere Marquette Lodge #299 of Free and Accepted Masons and the NRA. In his spare time, Laude enjoyed woodworking, fishing, canoeing, writing, and motion pictures.
Laude is survived by his children, Laude (Beth) Hartrum III of Ludington, Elin (Khris) Hartrum-Kelleher of Belmont, Cali.;, his grandchildren, Laude Hartrum IV, Emily Grace Hartrum, Nikki Hartrum-Kelleher; his brother-in-law, Earl (Christiane) Ronneberg of Chicago and Peter Lewis Ronneberg of Pentwater.

Laude was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Jenny.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. Family will greet friends starting at 10 a.m.
