Motorcyclist suffers ankle injury in crash.

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP – A 37-year-old Ludington man was injured while riding his motorcycle Tuesday, May 21, shortly after 5 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve on Kistler Road west of Pere Marquette Highway, dumping his bike and skidding off the road into a field, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The motorcyclist was transported by a passerby to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for an ankle injury, Cole said.

– 6:02 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Townline Road, Sherman Township.

– 12:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), breaking and entering and malicious destruction of property, 3000 block of Lakeshore Drive, Hamlin Township. No other information was immediately available.

– 2:15 p.m., (MSP), child abuse and assault, 1000 block of Harold Street, Amber Township.

– 4 p.m., (MSP), breaking and entering, 6000 block of Basswood Street, Hamlin Township. No other information was immediately available.

– 2:40 p.m., (MCSO), three-vehicle rear-end crash, minor injury, US 10 and Wever Road, Branch Township.

– 4:50 p.m., (MCSO), a 62-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for retail fraud at Walmart, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 6:35 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 15-year-old Ludington boy was apprehended on a juvenile court order, 700 block of North Lavinia Street, City of Ludington.

– 11:35 p.m., (MCSO), a 22-year-old Scottville woman was arrested on an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant from Manistee County following a traffic stop, Scottville and Kistler roads, Eden Township.
