Man arrested for making false bomb threat at hospital ER.

LUDINGTON – A 55-year-old Ludington man was arrested by the Ludington Police Department after making a false bomb threat in the emergency room admitting area of Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, April 28, according to Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett.

“It was very quickly determined it was false,” Barnett said. There was no evacuation from the building. “There was no danger,” he said.

“He told admitting staff he had a bomb,” the chief said in an apparent attempt at expediting medical services.

The man was also arrested on a bench warrant issued in Oceana County’s 78th District Court.
