79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted April 25, 2019.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Carrie Ann Carr, 38, of 332 S. Meyers Rd., Amber Township, pleaded no contest Apr. 17 to malicious destruction of personal property and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for two days already served; one year discretionary jail for two years; jail time shall run concurrent with time imposed in a separate case; no contact with the victim; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $2,495 in fines/costs. A charge of habitual offender supplemental warrant second conviction was dismissed.

-Gary Allen Forshee, 70, of 1741 N. Dennis Rd., Amber Township, pleaded no contest Apr. 17 to brandishing a firearm in public and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) was dismissed.

-Terry Martin Tjapkes, 39, of 4110 S. Harvard Ave., Baldwin, pleaded no contest Apr. 22 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

Dismissals

-Krista Michele Rodriguez, 42, of 508 Danaher St., Apt. 2, Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on Apr. 18 per a plea agreement with the prosecutor.

-Darold Dean Brown Stutzman, 27, of 9937 M-37, Baldwin, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on Apr. 18 per a plea agreement with the prosecutor.
