Crazy bartender contest to benefit 4th of July fireworks.

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Jaycees will hold its annual Crazy Bartender Contest to benefit the 2019 Freedom Festival Fireworks Fund on Wednesday, April 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. upstairs at Timbers, 320 S. James Street. Five local celebrities will be donning their craziest gear to bartend while attendees “vote” for their favorite Crazy Bartender by putting cash in their tip jars. The bartender with the most tip money at the end of the night will receive a traveling trophy created and donated by Ericka Karmeisool, as well as bragging rights.

Crazy Bartenders include:

  • Adam Johnson of Safe Harbor Credit Union
  • Jen Tooman of the Ludington Downtown Development Authority
  • Julee Sarto of Executive Wealth Management
  • Steve Miller, Mayor of Ludington
  • Tracie Mccarn-Dinehart of North Pointe Legal, LLC

Though last year’s winner Barry Neal, wasn’t able to return to defend his title, he pledged to match $500 toward the pot of the first of this year’s contestants to reach that amount. Crazy Bartender Jen Tooman hit that mark this past week to receive the matching funds, with Julee Sarto hot on her trail. This means that the other celebrities will need extra support before and during the event to have a shot at winning.

There will also be 50/50 raffles and entertainment provided courtesy of Chad Rushing on the night of the event. All donations that the Crazy Bartenders receive prior to the event and that evening, raffle proceeds, and a portion of sales will benefit the 2019 Freedom Festival Fireworks Fund.

Anyone with questions regarding the event can contact Lexi at (231) 425-7768 or e-mail info@ludingtonareajaycees.org.
