79th District Court sentencings, posted April 4, 2019.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Shawn Ryan Boles, 37, of 2788 E. Hoague Rd., Free Soil Township, pleaded guilty Apr. 2 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must continue current counseling program; and $585 in fines/costs. Charges of domestic violence and reckless driving were dismissed.

-Eric Joseph Northrup, 37, of 481 First St., Manistee, pleaded guilty Apr. 2 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete Alcohol Highway Safety Education; and $1,395 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence was dismissed.

-Alfonso Narvaez, 42, of 502 N. Harrison St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Mar. 22 to failure to stop or identify following an automobile accident and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months of probation; and $325 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of driving while license not valid was dismissed.

 

Dismissals

-Eric Scott Karnes, 43, of 1906 Kennedy Blvd., Hamlin Township, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed without prejudice on Apr. 2 following a plea agreement with the prosecution.
