MCC Jazz Band receives top rating.
BELLAIRE — The Mason County Central High School Jazz Band recently received a division 1 rating in class C division of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s state jazz festival, held March 20 at Bellaire High School. Under the direction of Tom Thomas, the band is in its 33rd year. In 2018, the jazz band was one of only a few high school jazz bands to perform at the Detroit Jazz Festival.
