Ethan Funke
LHS freshman receives 4-H pre-college scholarship.
VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Ethan Funke, a Ludington High School freshman, is the recipient of a $2,000 Michigan 4-H Pre-College Scholarship, awarded through Michigan State University Extension and Mason County 4-H. Ethan is the son of Jeff and Cathie Funke of Summit Township.
The scholarship is awarded every year to a group of youth in grades eight thru 10 who demonstrate excellent academic skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to 4-H.
The scholarship will be used for Ethan to attend Michigan State after he graduates from high school. He said he hopes to study chemistry or engineering.
