LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Shepard

-Thomas Donal Shepard, Jr., 32, of 912 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was arrested Feb. 26 by the State, Sheriff, and City Enforcement of Narcotic Team (SSCENT) on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (narcotics). Preliminary hearing: Mar. 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $25,000 cash/surety.

Patterson

-Joel Anthony Patterson, 32, of 124 W. Broadway Ave., Scottville, was arrested Feb. 28 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence and fourth offense habitual offender. Preliminary hearing: Mar. 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $15,000/10 percent.

Weland

-William Eric Weland, 29, of 828 N. Morely Rd., Lake City, was arrested Mar. 2 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charge of uttering and publishing a state warrant, receiving and concealing stolen property, and fourth offense habitual offender. Preliminary hearing: Mar. 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $15,000 cash/surety.

-Matthew Jon Broersma, 41, of 1751 E. Major Rd., Eden Township, was arraigned on felony charges of receiving and concealing stolen property, malicious destruction of property and second offense habitual offender. The charges stem from an arrested on Sept. 28, 2016 by MCSO. Preliminary hearing: Mar. 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $15,000 cash/surety.

Teunnisen

-Jeffery Alan Teunnisen, 40, of 605 Blue Gill Ln., Newaygo, was arrested Feb. 27 on felony charges of welfare fraud over $500, welfare fraud (failure to inform), and third offense habitual offender. Preliminary hearing: Mar. 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

-Melissa Lee Hargain, 36, of 209 Broadway Ave., Scottville; Feb. 28; Michigan State Police (MSP); embezzlement. Pretrial: Mar. 18 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.

-Michael Neal Okrzesik, 57, of 6825 Travis Rd., Hamlin Township; Mar. 2; LPD; operating while intoxicated (OWI). Pretrial: Apr. 8 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Clayton Kenneth James Clark, 46, of 206 ½ E. Danaher St., Apt. 5, Ludington; Mar. 1; LPD; second degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Mar. 25 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $3,500 personal recognizance.

-Blaine Austin Beemer, 21, of 269 E. Fountain Rd., Sherman Township; Feb. 20; MCSO; failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Pretrial: Mar. 11 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500 personal recognizance.
