Pere Marquette Township to introduce rec marijuana ban ordinance. 

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The township board of trustees is expected to hold the first reading of an ordinance that will prohibit the sale of recreational marijuana in the charter township, along with the use of marijuana in public places. The ordinance will be brought in front of the trustees again for a public hearing. The township board meets at 6:30 p.m. at the township hall, 1699 S. Pere Marquette Highway.

If passed, the township will be among the majority of Mason County municipalities to adopt a similar ordinance.
