Work-bee scheduled at Fountain Area Community Center.

FOUNTAIN — A work-bee to make improvements to the Fountain Area Community Center, 3916 E. Main Street, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The work-bee is being organized by the Mason County Reformed Church Outreach Mission Team, with the invitation for anyone from the public to assist.

“The center provides much needed help to the people in this community in many ways with clothing, household items, a food bank, meals, social programs for the youth and families, furniture and other various needs,” said Bonnie Barclay of MCRC. “They could use some help to upgrade the building to be more useable and utilize the space they have.

“We will be working on some painting, drywall repair and finishing, some carpentry, and various other projects,” Barclay said. “We are looking for any financial help or extra  supplies or materials you may have like painting supplies, paint scraping tools, construction materials, drywall, mud, tape, and other things that would be helpful for the projects.”

Barclay said persons with skilled carpentry to build a cupboard with countertop for the buildings food service are also needed.

Lunch will be provided.

Anyone interested in helping can call Barclay at 231-690-7393 or 231 757-2316
