The following is recent activity of Mason County law enforcement:

Friday, Feb. 1, 2019

  • 9:01 a.m., Ludington Police Department (LPD), larceny, 400 block of South James Street, City of Ludington.
  • 11:50 a.m., Michigan State Police (MSP), dog bite, 9000 block of North Quarterline Raod, Free Soil Township.
  • 12:09 p.m., LPD, vehicle crash, no injuries, Rath Avenue and Court Street, City of Ludington.
  • 2:49 p.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), a 62-year-old Ludington man received minor injuries after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree near the intersection of Decker and Sherman roads, Hamlin Township. Also responding were Hamlin Township Fire Department and Life EMS.
  • 6:24 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive south of Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:42 p.m., MCSO, larceny from a residence, Fifth Street, City of Scottville. Victim reported several household items missing. Case remains under investigation.
  • 8:49 p.m., LPD, vehicle crash, no injuries, Second and Madison streets, City of Ludington.

Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019

  • 10:30 a.m., LPD, breaking and entering, 100 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington.
  • 10:45 a.m., MCSO, single vehicle crash, no injuries, Scottville and Chauvez roads, Riverton Township. Also responding was Riverton Township Fire Department.
  • 5:52 p.m., MCSO, damaged property (vehicle tire), 1000 block of North Washington Ave., Pere Marquette Township.

Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019

  • 12:01 a.m., MSP, attempted breaking and entering, 100 block of North Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 12:55 p.m., MCSO, damaged property (vehicle window), 6100 block of East US 10, Branch Township.
  • 7:15 p.m., MSP, car/deer crash, Chauvez and Morton roads, Riverton Township
