Winter storm warning extended to Thursday evening.

The National Weather Service has extended the winter storm warning to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31. The warning had originally been set to expire by 1 p.m. on Thursday. Lake effect snow showers along with blowing and drifting snow could reduce visibilities to near zero at times. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches may occur tonight. Dangerously cold wind chills will drop to 25 to 45 degrees below zero tonight and last through Thursday morning with colder wind chills expected in southern Michigan, away from Lake Michigan.
