LUDINGTON — When it meets tonight in regular session, the city council is expected to appoint Jackie Steckel, assistant to the city manager, as the city’s acting city manager. Interim City Manager Steve Brock, who has been in the position since July, 2018, is resigning effective Jan. 29. She will be in the position until the new city manager begins.

Last week, the council offered the city manager position to Mitchell Foster, a former Scottville resident who is currently village administrator of Winneconne, Wisc. Read more about Foster here.

City council meets at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal building, 400 S. Harrison St.
