Log truck ditched; driver uninjured.

FOUNTAIN — A log truck driver had to ditch the truck he was driving after an oncoming car would not move out of the center of the road Wednesday, Jan. 2. The incident happened on Fountain Road just east of the village limits. The driver of the eastbound truck, which was heading to McCormick Sawmills, was uninjured; the truck was fully loaded with logs. The driver of the other vehicle did not stop to help the truck driver.

Crews from the sawmill and Abrahamson Towing were on scene attempting to remove the truck from the ditch. Fountain Road in that area was closed to through traffic.
