Obituary: Josephine A. Sanders Beyer, 93, of Ludington.

Josephine A. Sanders Beyer, 93, of Ludington passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Sunday, December 16, 2018. She was born May 19, 1925 in Ludington to Anthony and Marie Kotecki.

Josephine was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 23 years, Walter Beyer, her children, Laura (Erwin) Christmann, George (Jan) Sanders Jr., and Lisa (Joe Taibl) Sanders all of Ludington; her stepdaughters, Darlene (David) Hunter and Judy (Devon) Owen; her grandchildren, Travis (Brooke Fairbanks) Sniegowski, Whitney (Logan) Zillmer, and Jordan (David) Stegemoller, her step grandchildren, Paul (Debby) Hunter, Brian Hunter, Devon Owen Jr., Cassondra, Owen,Kate (Jason) Kunsky and Eric Christmann; her great-grandchildren, Ryne, Tayten, Rowan, and Charlie; her step-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, and Tara, and her brother Robert (Ione) Kotecki.

Besides her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her first husband, George Sanders Sr., and her siblings, Dorothy Wischnef, Christine Broadwick, Ruphine Neil, Virginia Smith, Louis, Gerald, Jerome Kotecki.

A funeral will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. Family will greet friends starting at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Josephine’s name may be directed to The Ludington Food Pantry or Our Savior Lutheran Church in Scottville.
