Obituary: Nolan Crawford, 43, Custer.

Nolan Crawford, 43, of Custer, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018.

Nolan was born June 23,1975 in Ludington, the son of Larry and Patricia (Fugere) Crawford. He graduated from Mason County Eastern in 1993 and attended West Shore Community College where he earned a degree in welding. He has been a millwright mechanic for PCA in Manistee since 2005.

Nolan had a real love and passion for hunting and fishing and was outside as much as possible. He had a passion for working to make better habitat for the deer which in turn made him the successful hunter we knew and loved.

Nolan was also was an adventurous and dedicated family man who loved his children more than anyone could imagine. Family time was easy to come by with his brother as his best friend and hunting partner. Nolan also became known for his skills smoking fish as well as a master of the grill. Nolan was hard working and helpful always offering to help any way he could, he had a heart of gold. 

Nolan was a supportive loving man to his forever love, Darcy Rogers and a wonderful father to his 15-year-old son Ryan Crawford and 13-year-old daughter Briana Crawford who all survive him. Nolan is also survived by his parents Larry and Patricia Crawford; brother Darrell (Miranda) Crawford; nephew Wyatt; and niece Avery; stepchildren Scott, Ryan (Kyli), Brena (Jake); grandchildren Jason, Rylan and Luke; also survived by his children’s mother Jolene Babbin

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington with a visitation at 1 p.m. A reception will follow the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family for the children’s college fund.
