SCOTTVILLE — Students at Mason County Central Upper Elementary recently raised $970.36 for Shop with a Cop through a “Thanksgiving thankfulness project.” Students raised money by participating in a coin drive for one week. After the drive, each class walked to West Shore Bank in downtown Scottville where they used the coin change machine to help tabulate the amounts. The building-wide goal was $200. Shop with a Cop provides children in need to buy Christmas presents at Walmart with local law enforcement officers helping them.
