79th District Court sentencings, dismissals, posted Nov. 2, 2018.

LUDINGTON – The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Joshua James Rogers, 31, of 5090 N. Williams St., Fountain, was found guilty Oct. 25 of taking a deer without a license and was sentenced to $2,250 in fine and costs and hunting privileges are revoked for three years.

– Michael Anthony Mueller, 60, of 1272 Avian Way, Amelia, Ohio, was found guilty Oct. 25 of marijuana use and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $325 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Abigail Grace Westhouse, 24, of 6673 W. Nurnberg Rd., Grant Township, was found guilty Oct. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $325 in fines and costs.

– Jared Michael Miller, 17, of 8862 N. Budzynski Rd., Meade Township, was found guilty Oct. 25 of tobacco use by a minor and was sentenced to $185 in fines in costs or preform 19 hours of community service.

– Steven Ray Aldrich, 33, of 417 River St., Evart, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 25 of snagging a fish and was sentenced to $565 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– David Ramone Wilson, 46, of 568 Catherine Ave., Muskegon, one felony count of controlled substance possession less than 25 grams and a misdemeanor of marijuana possession were dismissed Oct. 30. In a separate file, two felony counts of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance less than 50 grams, delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine, assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of malicious destruction of property less than $200 were dismissed Oct. 30. “Further investigation and laboratory analysis is necessary to establish proof beyond a reasonable doubt for all of the charges listed above,” both of his court files state.

– John Travis Huck, 31, of 409 First St., Ludington, charges of operating without insurance and unlawful license plate were dismissed Oct. 22 after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Devin Auston Sheldon, 20, of 2781 N. Oceana Dr., Hart, one count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed Oct. 26. “Co-defendant is taking sole responsibility for this,” his court file states.
